I've never owned a 1911, and don't really want one. But I've always believed that magazines interchange with many brands of that platform when chambered in .45 ACP. It wouldn't make sense to me if that weren't true for the other chamberings.

Depends - will my Springfield Armory - and Colts use each others magazines - yes. Will my Star - MegaStar use those magazines - no. Best Regards - AQH

Years ago, Springfield had a sale on 1911 38 super mags.

I bought a dozen.

Had a lot of FTF with them in my Colts. Adjust the lips and they were passable for range mags.

I'd say you get what you pay for. Some work and some don't.
