With the KY address it could not be very old.

It's a Marlin. Rebranded with the Remington Name. Seem to remember these at a NRA Shot 5-6 years back. Interesting.

One shown is a Marlin Later 25 Series with the XT trigger . Re marked after Remington take over of Marlin. Made for the Remington market (don't think it lasted long).
