Shot one of those. Very mechanical, clunky and hardly any recoil at all.

I've never fired one but have handled a few original Thompsons. I was surprised by the weight. When I was a young impressionable lad back in the 60s I watched a local police officer demo one. We were in the basement range of the local P.D. and he was shooting a war surplus Thompson with no muzzle brake. First few rounds went into the target, next few above the target but into the backstop and the rest made a mess of the ceiling. Fortunately it was a poured concrete floor above us covered in wood to prevent ricochets. 😄Bob

The local gun shop has 1. It can be rented to use in their range in the back for $1.00 a round. Best $20.00 I have spent in a long time.

We had the horizontal forearm model on the DE. Had to run so many rounds through them every so many months as schedule would allow. On a ship, you don't want alot of high velocity rds flying down the passage or through a steam pipe.

A 1911 recently sold for 12K! This SHOULD go over 30. I pulled out of the bidding though.☺️

Bodjudy-We did a job for the Justice Dept. in the Chicago area. They had a contractor appreciation day which I was invited to. They had more firearms of " out of the ordinary venue" than you could imagine. Great time and I remain very close friends of the man that ran the base.

All West Hurley TSMG (in all calibers) were classified as Curio and Relics back in January 2009. The seller insisting on transfer to a Class 3 SOT is incorrect. Once the Form 4 is approved, the MG can be legally transferred to a Type 03 Curio and Relics FFL.

Allowing a C&R transfer would bring in more bidders, and more $$$.
