How does a bear work that cross bolt safety?

    That's a beaut, Ricci.

Is there anything more useless than a cross bolt safety on a lever gun?

yes there is, internal trigger locks.

Why does everyone get so worked up over the cross-bolt safety? I don’t get it. It’s pretty easy to avoid.

I have never had a problem with the crossbolt safety either. It adds a very safe feature when unloading the rifle and I don't want an accidental discharge even with the barrel pointing in a safe direction. I believe in doing all you can to be safe and being aware any time you handle a firearm. By the way, that is a very nice rifle Ricci. It should do well.

The scope may not be on backward, but it sure is sitting rather close to the eye for heavy recoiling bear gun.

Oh my my. There is better than 3" eye clearance with me holding the rifle. The owner was shooting 420 gr. Buffalo Bore hard cast running at 2000 fps and his eye is fine. It is an optical delusion. haha
