Yupp, I got my notice a couple of days ago. At the rate things are going up it might be enough for Judy and I to make one trip to Mcdonalds providing we don't supersize our fries. Bob

yes both my wife and I got the notice

as normal per our government I have heard /read what we gain . we lose + more in the insurance cost as stated above

and currently a couple gallons of gas would eat up any increase any way 😲

Next will be a notice that your supplemental Insurance will go up more than the SS increase.

Sometimes the Supplemental increase notice letter will outrun the ss notice.

I'll get about $300 a month less. They gave me the raise, then upped my Moldycare premium, and advised me that due to my income tax return, they've lowered my monthly payment.

Got the notice via email early last month or so the 5.9% is enough to maybe get me a couple days worth of beer... and I'm not on the medical stuff yet, but the notice said for those 65 and above on it they would be seeing an increase that would wipeout the 5.9%... give with one hand, take back with the other...

I knew it was too good to be true. I should have read the fine print before I got excited about the raise.

They like using the term, ROOT CAUSE lately. So I’ll use the term. The root cause for such an increase is they think they can just print money and all is well.

Soon a candy bar will cost $50

I read that during world war II in Denmark you would have to have a truckload of money to get a loaf of bread. Money was actually blowing in the streets.

Looks like that's where we're headed if it keeps up like this.

You are right about the money, but it was Germany. They tried to print their way out of debt after ww1. It was cheaper to wall paper your wall with money than it was to buy wall paper.

After the increase in Medicare premiums and allowing for the fixed amount of Federal tax that we have taken out, we will get a yearly increase of just a tad under $1500.00. Anyone who thinks that to be insignificant, feel free to send me a check for that amount.😁😁

You forgot to add for inflation on all other goods. So, net loss! :(

    Thanks Joe!

Since I taught for 15 years and get some teacher retirement money my Dear Senator McConnel decided that I only need to get part of the SS I paid into for twice as long so the increase is hard to see. ;(

I calculate that the $300 or so less I'll get each month will keep the SS system solvent for an additional 1.10583 seconds.

    You're welcome.

Same here, I am going backwards on my net SS.
