Keep one of my work family in your thoughts and prayers today. Going through a loss.
One of my guys has been living with their parents and taking wonderful care of them over the years. He lost his mother last year and his father is in his final moments at this time. He has been everything everyone wishes they could have in regards to having someone there when you REALLY need it. He has me in total awe in the way he has taken care of his parents. They drove him crazy at times....but he never let it really affect him. Its just amazing how resilient and steadfast some people are. I'm sure he is suffering right now and that is why I want you guys to pray for him if you can. His father was a hard working, family man who loved his wife and you can see the same in his kids who have raised their own families with the same values. The world is a better place because this family is one to admire.

Nine years straight, he's been living with them.....taking them to their appointments....paying their bills.....scheduling everything.....filling their prescriptions and putting the pills in the allotted boxes....shopping for their groceries....taking them to see relatives.....taking them to church.....having family over to their house for special occasions and celebrations.....dealing with dinner every single night (cooking EVERY night) and having dinner at the kitchen table with them.....and when it got harder he got stronger and took care of accidents....changing bedsheets....altering the furniture layout to fit their needs....getting up three times a night for emergencies....rushing them to the hospital and staying there with them when it happened.....keeping the entire family in the loop and all of that while barely living his own life, which pretty much came to a stop the past year altogether. He's just amazing.

His father passed last night. He is like a ship floating aimlessly right now. His father passed surrounded by family and enough food to feed seven armies was delivered (and still coming in.) Being a little bit outside the circle it makes me jealous of how near perfect this family has been in my eyes. I'm lucky to have just a small interaction with them like I do.
