For many many years around us it was a given we would be gone 1st round or two
Wright Patterson afb about 30 miles south and lima's refineries about 30 miles north
I worked with a fellow years ago lived right next to Wright patterson
he told me he would get his lawn chair out some beer and just watch for incoming
He said go fast and first no weeks long sickness of fighting over food

yep and we are right down the river marrietta/parkersburg area, we allways heard we were number 10 on the missle list for all the chemical plants in surrounding area, not so sure now as most have closed and moved overseas, we used to have Dupont, Marbon, shell, union carbide platics and metals division, corning glass, american cyanimid, also a carbon black plant, and an everready battery plant all within 20 miles of each other, we had the shell chemical plant catch fire one year, and few weeks later on the news it was let out if it had really gotten out of hand and exploded it would have taken the dupont, and marbon plants right across the river with it!!!!!!!!!!!

We are about 20 mile or so from Ft. Jackson that is in Columbia SC. Oh well I didn't want to see the aftermath anyway

Living next door to Seymour Johnson Air force base . A SAC and TAC facility i was always told we were number 2 or 3 on the hit list . As I got older I finally realized how stupid the duck and cover drills( hide under your school desk ) really were .

You are pretty safe SF. lts places like Sumter(Shaw Air Force Base), Charleston(Naval Weapons Station), Aiken-Augusta 9Savannah River Site) that should be tightening things up.🤢
