I have never personally owned one, but I used to keep a couple as range rental guns, and they were excellent. They would run very dirty and eat just about any .22 ammo. Good guns.

Got one that has been a great shooter and the grandkids love it.

They did/do have a recall on the older ones, made before 2019.

I bought one about 3 years ago...I have tweeked it a might with an upgraded trigger and some add ons.....It is quite accurate and reliable. The only issue I have had with it involved the trigger pin working itself out. I actually lost one out shooting at the range. I added some pins with set screws on either end. No issues since.

Fun shooter and it goes with me often when walking my property and hiking on the neighbor's. This was a 75 yard plus shot on a moving yote at the back of my place last year. One shot DRT...

I forgot to mention, I have fired the pistol verson of the 15-22 with a Sig Romeo 5 dot sight. I really liked that version also.

@montanajoe Thanks for the recall info. Called S&W & they're sending out a gauge to check the bolt face. Great customer service. And, it's a fun & reliable rifle.
