I almost said something mean to a customer today.
He brought some shotguns for me to sell and told me they were empty. The first gun I checked was a SXS and when I opened it up and saw these.
WELL!!! I was SHOCKED!! Cause I had never seen snap caps like these before.

Wow! I've never seen those either. We made some one time using a piece or tire tread rubber in the primer pocket, and used a permanent marker to identify them.

Had a similar instance, only it Was a inline muzzle loader. Took a bit of doing to pull the charge, clean and finally bet the breach plug out.
I have never seen snap caps like that.

One barrel has a real good hammer strike, the other not so much. Best check that baby out before auctioning it off. 😊

Still loaded, IMO. Chamber was not empty. It shouldn't matter much. Every gun is always loaded.

The man who was my grade school principal passed on and I went to his estate auction. I guess I was the first person to inspect the 12 gauge auto, it was loaded. The auctioneer told me to keep the shells.

I sold a collection of around 50 guns last year. Every gun in the house was loaded.

Guess they figured if one's gonna be loaded, might as well eliminate the confusion and keep them all loaded. An unloaded gun is just a club, and not a very good one.

Any gun in my house that is NOT in the gun safe is loaded, that removes all worry about the condition of the gun. That said I don't have kids in my house either.
