It's definitely a good time to sell certain items. I've sold some stuff recently for crazy prices, and it's allowed me to have some extra cash to buy some items that I normally wouldn't spend the extra $ on.

Every time I think about going to visit LF and dropping off some for her to auction, I can't seem to pull the trigger. If I was smarter, I'd get rid of some and not buy anymore, but nobody ever accused me of being smart. If I sold some and didn't buy more guns, the chances are the money wouldn't earn enough to offset the guns appreciation. Bob

Its amazing what is going on these days. Is it the loon in office....the pandemic....the inventory shortage....the constant threat of civic meltdown looming....the tax refunds being spent like lottery winnings....the factories closing, making everyday items "collector" grade???

I don't think there could be more things going on at one time to drive up gun prices than we have right now.

You'd think someone was giving ammo away somewhere.

Yea, my problem is that most things I would consider selling are guns I got back when I was younger and "poor." Getting a $250-$300 rifle back then was a really big deal. Something about letting one of those go (even at a really high price) still invokes a little panic....not sure why.

I'm not sure I would even know where to start. Locust Fork, Ricci, other pros......any advice for us novices? If we worked up the courage to part with something, is it best to start bidding at $0.00.....start at a higher price....have a high reserve (if just testing the waters/hoping for a high sale)? What tends to be your go-to method of getting the best end-result?

Kasey was passing by so I pushed myself to part with a few. The money is more then I expected, even after GBs & her %. I'm now putting together another group for her next time thru my area.

I sell the stuff I don't use so I can buy other stuff I won't use.

Four offspring and 8.5 sub-offspring, my collection will be passed down. No telling what might happen in the future that will preclude them from being able to buy anything to include a BB gun.

I'm going to bring Karen along with me again....she had the best time and we owe you lunch this time!

As far as what I'd recommend to anyone looking to sell its not hard to do a listing yourself, but when you are listing several it is really worth it to have someone set up to deal with all of it so you don't have to work a second job to handle it. The penny start is risky if you aren't a seasoned seller with a lot of feedback and devoted followers, so I would just start it at your lowest price you'd let it go for. LOTS of pictures are key.

Prices are stupid, that is until you go to a gun store and present a rare Colt of 350 made and what do gun stores offer?

Oats...I have had a gut full.
