When we had our new heat pump installed, the technician took a few minutes to explain to mrsdeere how the thermostat works. He may as well been explaining the theory of relativity.

I guarantee that Grouch Attack would re-align his thinking in short order.

At work, the women would always be turning the thermostat up & men turning it down. We put a cover on it & they broke it open. Sooo, I put a piece of masking tape over it & left a small piece of wire hanging out the bottom. Then I put a new thermostat next to it that wasn't hooked up to anything. The temp was different every time I passed it but the old one stayed put.

Blood thinners create a whole new areas of arguments over the thermostat with the wife unit

    hot flashes are very common

she goes hot all over often

I call her one hot momma

she knows it is her internal thermostat after the change

must be a women thing as I've been on blood thinners for several years and haven't notice any big difference feeling cold

My house came with "SMART" thermostats and the previous owners settings outsmarted me trying to set my own!! About the same thing with my SMART automated garage doors but that is another topic for another time.
