City to pay $10 million to protesters injured by police
The City of Austin has agreed to pay a combined $10 million to two demonstrators who were injured during by police during the 2020 racial justice protests.

I'm sure there are many more details out there than I know. People have the right to protest against the government, it isn't illegal to protest, Were these two protesters breaking other laws, maybe. Were they breaking laws that warranted a fractured skull and a broken jaw?
