I have the 750 and it works as long as you hold the bit tight in the holder. Watch the video to make sure you do it right. Don

I also have the 750 and it works great.

I go through a lot of very small drill bits, mostly 1\16" and a few others and was wondering does this sharpener work on those?

Not real good on smaller bits. 1/8 and larger is all I do on my 750.

I have the older free-standing model all steel with diamond wheels. 1/8 drill or larger and I only use cobalt drills.

It has worked well for over 20 years.

I stopped buying individual small bits and look for the cheap assortment when they are on sale. Menards has a 230 piece drill bit set on their website for $19.99 that includes over 100 bits smaller than 1/8". So for 20¢ apiece for the small ones I don't worry about sharpening them anymore and figure the bigger sizes are just freebies. Bob

I have had one for about 25 years, probably their first model. A small bit will work in it, but you have to be very careful as it can eat them up in a hurry. Larger bits work just fine. Watching the video is a must to set it up right.

So will these sharpeners grind split tip bits correctly?

I found out that it's best to immediately test a bit on a piece of steel right after sharpening for best results. (especially when you first start playing with the unit)

I also use a permanent marks a lot pen and color the end of a bit to check the grind.

Mine works good but it's not just plug and play.

You can look at the instructions for the unit on-line.

I have one. I don't know which model but I've never been impressed with it. I know I can do better doing it by hand on a grinding wheel.
