disposable income and yachts
just watching History channel, Modern Marvels. they had a piece on a company that has ships designed to move yachts from one place to another all over the world. this thing would partially sink itself then a load master would load these yachts on the ships to get the maximum amount on board. then divers would go down and place temporary supports under the yachts. next they would pump the water out and install more stable supports. and all this time i thought if you had a yacht you just drove it place to place. i cant imagine how much this would cost and how someone can have enough money to just move your boat from place to place.

All boats are just holes for throwing money into the water. Just look at all the guns lost over the years.
I have been boating most of my life and I concur with that statement.
BOAT= Bring On Another Thousand $$$$
But, boating is alot if fun and a great way to spend time with your kids. And for me (soon ) my grandkids

Happiness in Life counts a bunch. So just go boating, flying, collecting , and doing whatever trips your trigger 😄

If I aimed all of my disposable income in one direction, I might be able to buy one heck of a kayak 😛
How about a nice cardboard canoe? Works great, just don't expect to get very far.

I think this is great advice. If you’re fortunate enough to have the money to do something you like….. do it!! Tomorrow isn’t promised.

Saw a news piece somewhere just recently about one of those yacht carriers ships. They hit rough weather and at least one of the yachts broke free and seriously damaged or even totaled a few others.

The reason they ferry those yachts from place to place is because if they drive them across the open ocean they will get all dented up by the rough water. Look at a Navy destroyer and you'll see what Im talking about. The people who own those yachts want to look good so they have them transported from one place to another.

I would imagine if you have a large investment you have insurance. Or at least the carrier does.

I've been around boats and giant boats (yachts) my entire life. San Diego. Nothing but work and expense and for what?
It ain't that much fun, trust me. I'd rather a nice villa in Palm Springs
