Let me introduce our new Senior Moderator...Horse Plains Drifter
Horse Plains Drifter's promotion is a major part of montanajoe's and my plans to reshuffle the moderators- some of who haven't logged into the forum this year (one who hasn't logged into the forum in over a year).
The Senior Mod spot, which has been vacant since montanajoe was promoted to admin, was purposefully left unfilled while Joe and I evaluated the mods. HPD was a standout; exhibiting strength, as well as sound judgment in dealing with the membership. As Sr. Moderator, Horse Plains Drifter will also fill in as admin in the event that Nunn, Joe, or myself are absent from the forums.

Congratulations HPD! Based on this info from Mr. C, (shortage of mods, no show mods, etc) I can't believe this place hasn't descended into an all out cage fight! I guess I'm just now realizing how much adult supervision it takes to keep us old gun guys in line.🤔

In fact my day started out with a message from GBHQ regarding forum issues which I am dealing with. This is the sort of thing that takes up a big part of my day, and is why I need montanajoe, Horse Plains Drifter, and a staff of proactive moderators who show up to work every day to handle the forums. If I don't currently have that staff, I plan to acquire it by adding and removing moderators.
I was assured that "Ammo Inc. sees the forums as a valuable asset, and supports improving the platform."
For the most part, we are being left alone by the new owners.
As for the vision of the forum...that's being left in the hands of montanajoe and I.

Every single company I have worked for that rolled out a new strategic plan (typically because of desired/envisioned growth), had huge layoffs within two years.

I'd just like to say congratulations and I'll go ahead and apologize for whatever I do to frustrate the crap out of all you moderators and admins. Its been a minute since I've gotten an email with a warning from any of you, so its about time for that to happen. Who will be at the wheel when I go nuts next time....its anyone's guess.
