I have scored a few times at Krogers in the last month. Ribs buy one get one free, NY strip and ribeyes for $7.99. The steaks usually come 5 to a package and since there are only two of us I have to buy 2 packs to make it come out even. That reminds me, I need to get more bags for the Seal a Meal. It pays to keep your eyes open for deals. Bob

What a shame, but it is common anymore.

Should have given her 190.85 and watch her mind explode! 😁

Our weekly league trap shoot is $7, I gave the gal $12 last night, she gave me my extra $2 back, and $3 in change... It's really hard to see where we are going as a country......

Lol, that's what I was talking about. I did something very similar in wally world. Cashier had to get the assistant manager over there, then they BOTH decided that they "can't do that"! LOL. They acted like I was trying to truck them, and in reality I did CONFUSE them. I said, just punch it into the computer and you will see that I cane one big bill back instead of several small bills. " We can't do that"! SMDH

While you're cruising the meat aisle, keep an eye peeled for Chuck Eye Steaks. My butcher calls them the poor man's ribeyes. I buy em every time I find them, and they're magnificent on the grill.

I've been buying top sirloin steaks cut from the top cap of the sirloin roast. They look like a smaller ny strip and cook up just as good. Can get them on sale once every couple weeks for $4.99 #.

They USED to be a poor man's steak. Those things costs a LOT more than they are worth now!

The pork spareribs came in a 10# box for 15.99. A long slab of them folded over. We vacuum sealed everything.
