Weather was nice yesterday walk
I was knee deep in mud (one of the main seasons in SE Missouri). Temp was nice though so I took a stroll.
Did some tracking to see if I could find any sheds at fence crossings. No luck there. For your viewing pleasure or a vicarious accompaniment I have included a few pics.
First, I can never get enough of looking at my swamp tree. This year I hope to clear around it and encourage green grass to grow.
One of the better pics of a full deer track. Fairly sure he's a big one.
I love how the woods look with a little frosting. Rains and melts really get the streams moving.

I had a tree kinda like that on one of my favorite climbs, I called him Gnarly Snarly. He stood up there against the wind and weather for MANY decades and finally succumbed to a 130mph wind storm. Good old Gnarly, he was a good tree.

Should make a decent bear den up under that root ball.
