We have a new grand baby! 7lbs 11oz boy....my daughter's second son.
Hospital rules prevented me from seeing him yesterday....only 2 visitors within 24 hours, so I had to wait until day 2 to get to see him. I'm so excited!

I stopped everything and ran down there to hold him for a bit. The hospital rules are CRAZY these days...I guess being careful is best, but I felt bad that I was taking up one of the only two spots she would get as a visitor. THE FATHER, her husband, couldn't come today because my other daughter is staying with her and I came down.
He is a DOLL. He kept making the tiny little new baby sounds and I just couldn't put him down. So I stayed for most of the day and just held him.
Yall......if you could have seen me. I stopped a the Dollar Tree and got a big bunch of heart balloons and then went to Publix and had them blow up a few "its a boy" balloons to go with the heart ones. It was so funny, the lady at Publix overfilled one and it popped....of course it was the one that was clear and full of big blue confetti bits....so that mess went EVERYWHERE. Getting the flowers, balloons and big bear from my car to her room was something that made everyone stop and stare. I was a walking grandma that had gone over the top for sure!

That is awesome!!! Its amazing how fast the second baby comes once you get rid of all the baby stuff the first one outgrew. We can't find anything we thought we kept......it'll all turn up once its not needed anymore, I'm sure.

Colton isn’t quite two yet and this is his room at our house. We ordered another crib and another decal with Lincolns name in it to add to this room so the boys will share a room when they visit our house

That is the same furniture that our grandson has, but the bed has been altered to be a "big boy" bed. They are thinking about putting it back into crib form and just getting another bed for their oldest. We have one spare room left from when the kids all moved out and it has furniture that each of them left to make one "bedroom" and we had a crib in there at one time, but it has been put away. I've come close to taking that room over several times with the gun ordeal going on here, but haven't yet.

I am sure like all grand kids the rules at the grandparents will a lot more lax then the original's had to deal with LOL at least that has been my experience
