dheffley, First Time In A LONG Time!
I have tried to call Danny Heffley from time to time, over the last several years, and have not gotten him to answer the phone or return a call when I left a message. Today, I called him on a whim, and HE ANSWERED! WOW!
His wife Sandi is in a bad way. She's had a heart attack and has been back and forth between the hospitals and the nursing homes. He says she may not be around much longer. He failed to get her on Medicare when it was time, so he kept her on his private insurance, and it hasn't covered a lot of her expenses, leaving him in debt.
If you remember, several years ago, Danny's son committed suicide, and that took a lot out of him.
Heffley was once a regular contributor to these forums, and is loved and respected by many of us older members. A prayer or a happy thought would be appreciated.

I remember him. So sad to hear about his wife. I didn't know about his son.
All the best hopes and wishes I can muster up are on their way.
Same here, it's been a long time since he was on here. I hope things improve for him.

Yep, I remember heff, and I think about him quite often. Sorry to hear his wife is in a bad way. Those folks have been really thrown some gut punches in life. Prayers for those folks from our house.

Like you David, I tried to get ahold of Danny for quite a while after he quit posting on the forum. After a while, I gave up.
Good to hear that you were able to talk to him, even thought the news is not what I would have hoped for.
