I know what the site said... 2 test per person per household. Well they sent 5 tests

If one should happen to get the "FREE" tests, when will you use them? Are you going to use one if you feel fine, just in case you might have caught something but have no symptoms? If so, you better test every day because you could have been exposed 20 min after you got a negative test. If you are a little under the weather do you really need a test to tell you to stay home and away from others? If you are really sick and need medical care, do you think the medical folks will rely on the results of your home test? If you are going to go visit Grandma, are you going to rely on the dubious accuracy rates from these tests?
IMHO these tests will be no more effective than the shutdowns that the new studies have shown had no appreciable effect on slowing the spread of the virus. I guess it is just some way of the government keeping us occupied and off balance, so we don't notice their extreme ineptness handling Covid. So test away everyone but if you have the sniffles and even if the test is negative, stay the hell away from me! Bob

If it is true about these tests are not supposed to be frozen, anyone living in the north country will be receiving frozen tests via USPS. 20 minutes in my mailbox will turn a big mac into a brick!

You order the "free" ones from USPS. Just go to their website.
The majority of "N95" & "KN95" masks I see are Chicom or Korean knock offs. CDC lists some of the fakes on their website, with photos. The only genuine masks I have seen were given away by local hospitals. The blue "surgical" masks are more comfortable, & they are as good as anything else out there.
I have no reason to believe that the home test kits are any more reliable.

Wife apparently ordered some because they showed up in the mail yesterday. There's no chance I'll be sticking anything like that up my nose, but she listens to NPR so there's no convincing here of anything rational.

Grouch Attack ordered and received a box of the home test kits. I'm not about to stick one of those things in my nose or mouth but maybe I'll just spit on it. 100% sure it'll test positive. I just got over the 2nd bout of KungFloo in late December.
All this craziness is total BS and the numbers are false. Anyone who dies but tested positive is added to the Covid fatality list.

I ordered them about 4 weeks ago, just because I could and to see what all might take place since it's another Gov't thing.
Seen on news couple days ago to not let the kits get too hot or too cold and do not store them in the bathroom.
Temperature dropped into teens and 7 inches of snow on ground (snowed in for few days) and mailbox one mile from house on a dirt road with no access for me to get to the mail but mail carrier can drive flat ground to deliver.
My first thought is now is the time to get a tracking notice from USPS they are delivered.
Sure enough next day early morning weather in the teens, USPS tracking DELIVERED into mailbox.
Yep, typical Gov't operation, people helping people.
Finally got to them yesterday by 4x4 ATV. (after they were 2 days in mailbox, temp hits single digits)
Opened them up and now for the directions. first thing I seen is something like do not trust these kits, will provide FALSE NEGATIVES. (and do not let them freeze or get too hot)
Now I'm thinking
"TURN IN YOUR ARMS, THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU"
