Good bye Brady
Drove 150 miles to Binghamton to watch Joe Namath at a sports bar with my bride of 58 years. The Jets won the Super Bowl that day. Now Joe is old and grey like most of us and pushing Medicare on TV. Sort of lost interest in NFL because of their antics of late.
Regardless of the NFL's problems, Brady is one CLASS ACT! What more can I say?------------------Ray

No jealousy on my part. My comment was more an observation on how, if given the chance, someone can rise to the occasion and vastly outperform others expectations. It has been quite common in the past for a player to be picked early in the draft and be touted as the next hall of famer, only to turn out to be a big disappointment and fade into obscurity within a couple of years. Brady did the opposite. He was picked late and not really expected to go anywhere. When due to injuries he had to step up and fill in as the starting quarterback, he took advantage of the opportunity and lasted 22 years as the best quarterback in the NFL. Bob

Sorry I jumped to conclusions. I guess I am a bit touchy this morning because I got word of a friend having medical problems. Hopefully they misdiagnosed his problem because if not he will have to quit work and lose his retirement. He has 22.5 years in and planned on retiring with his pension when he has 25 years in. He is going to a cardiologist this afternoon to get checked out and hopefully be cleared to return to work. So my apologies if I took your reply the wrong way. I have never worried any about you. I have a long time friend from after high school that is going into surgery on the 4th. She survived the liver surgery a couple months back when all the odds were against her. She is really scared, no children, and husband who I dragged race with is deceased. She does have some rough neck friends she has mentioned to them of me. Hells Angel folks. She wants me to go see them regardless if she lives or not and has mentioned her attorney will be in touch with me soon.

I loved watching Brady play and would have loved watching him next season. At age 44 he led the NFL in most TDs and most passing yardage. Nothing is as sad as an athlete who plays one season to many. Tom is going out on top. WAY TO GO!!

Brady is without a doubt the best Quarterback ever to play the game and I'm so grateful that he chose to finish his career here in Florida.
Just shows that one man, the right man, can lift up an entire football team with his leadership and and work ethic.
