Take a look at the YouTube video by Benny Johnson: The Truth Behind Will Smith's FAKE Oscars Slap. It shows the slap in slow motion. There appears to be little or no contact.

Kid Rock is a country singer if that is what you call it.
I think Cris starred in one of the Lethal Weapon movies.

I remember those rare times when I got to stay up late and watch the "signing off" of the stations. They had different videos for different stations. One was a resolution test with lines of different lengths and sizes. I didn't know what they were until years later when I ran my own lens resolution tests. One was an Indian with a full headdress, and they ended with the playing of the National Anthem. Back when men were men and the women were glad of it.
How times have changed.
