Penny auction/ Reserve

Someone explain to me the purpose of having a listing that starts at $0.01, but have a Reserve?? Absolutely makes no sense. If you have a reserve, make that your starting bid that way you are not wasting bidder’s time.

  Well, I happen to agree with that but some people will run the auctions as they see fit is my best answer.

  one of the mysteries and as stated I seldom bid on a reserve auction it was common years ago across the board but not so much any more

  Well, you could look at the reserve auction this way. You reserve the right not to bid on that auction.
