Anyone have or seen one used? Do they work as advertised? Thanks.

Just had my electrician at the house to plan new lighting for the basement ceiling. In shooting the hay I asked him if he had a walbot. He said he does ,but it does not perform anywhere near as advertised. That just saved me wasting some money.

You got my curiosity up so I searched for a walbot. This is where I wound up.
Walbot Lab at Stanford University
Now if you meant walabot, that's a whole different animal.

Stud finder. No need for one here on this site😲

Hammer and 7d galv siding nail Is almost as high tech as I get! Actually, I also have an old battery operated stud finder that works pretty well. But generally when trying to locate a stud, I'm planning on doing some demo in that area anyway.

Not just to locate studs, but to locate pipes and romex in the walls.

Don't have a Walabot but the Bosch D-Tect that I won in a giveaway here on GB works fantastic! Studs, pipes, wires, hot wires, rebar in concrete, etc. If it's in the structure, this thing picks it up.
I can't remember who it was I won that from but have been thankful for it for many years now!
