80% build, finally sighted in
Finally got a day with winds less than 20 mph so I did the best my older eyes with iron sights could do, 10 shots american eagle 55 grain at about 30 yards adjusting sights after first, (blue diamond), 4th (green square) and 7th (light blue triangle) shots for the finale 3 in red circle. I'm happy with it.

For me with open sights anything on the paper is pretty good

Nice! I too hung onto my peep sights for a long time, but finally broke down and got a Leupold Mark AR 4-12x40.

@gesshots I would guess some folks are choosing to do this to be under the radar, but for me it is about proving to myself that I can accomplish the build. I'm learning more about the inner workings and I am enjoying the machining process. Not doing anything illegal and not worried about that.

Some of my fondest memories were in front of a lathe, vertical mill, surface grinder, etc.
For me, every aspect of metal working is satisfying. From hammer and anvil to keeping a 3 decimal place tolerance.
I had a great teacher, who started his career with overhead belt driven machines. He was certified "All Nation" tool and die maker. He could work on any Allied ship during WWII - Philadelphia Naval Shipyard
Truly one of the Greatest Generation.
