I think there is a dog breed that looks a lot like a fox.

Our Shiba Inu recently passed away but she resembled a fox. Maybe that's what you're thinking.

I've seen a few running around our property, but it's a rare event.

A few years back momma fox had a den 20 yds from our house just barely inside the tree line. I saw her going in and out several times over a few weeks time and then one day she led 4 pups out into the yard. For the next couple of months we were entertained by those little guys frolicking around the yard while they grew up. They would sit and watch me on the mower but if I stopped or turned it off they would run for the den. Sadly the last couple of years the coyote numbers have gone up and that makes the fox numbers go down so we haven't had any foxy return visitors. Bob

not a fox story but a wild animal any way

what seems like a life time ago when I was younger I worked with two brothers who took in a young groundhog as a pet. they said all went well until the following spring and it had grown they up came home one evening the ground hog had chewed up ( as in real bad ) all the wood around several windows trying to get out side 😲
