I would guess electric vehicle technology will advance to where we couldn't imagine now.My grand dad told me when cars started getting popular, they laughed at them and didn't know where people would buy gasoline to keep them running.

Ask folks how they think the electricity is made. Deer in the headlights.

My daughter who is an Angel helps me take care of my wife now and then. She is also a thinker. Sold her house in Cornwall ,NY and bought a small six acre farm in Delaware County. She is looking ahead and just bought two horses.------------------------Ray

My commentary on negative iq would likely get me banned. As Moma said, " if you can't say something nice don't say nothing at all "

Did it ever occur to anyone the people forcing the green agenda upon us are East and West coast elites who stand to profit on a colossal scale? In other words the party of big business: DEMOCRATs

Electric trains have been around since 1837 in Europe. The first use of electrification on an American main line was on a four-mile stretch of the Baltimore Belt Line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) in 1895 connecting the main portion of the B&O to the new line to New York.

330hp 440lbs torque and weighs 63 lbs. Electric car technology is advancing rapidly. They will replace gas engines, but not for a few years.

Well, occasionally electric vehicle proponents will be familiar with the Hoover Dam, & correctly point out that hydroelectric power is created free of pollution. (Forget for a minute that the Colorado River is just about tapped out due to the diminishing snow melt.)

My local electricity provider depends on 50% coal, with nuclear & LNG producing the rest.

Don't look to Congress to give us relief. Those thieves still continue to force most of us to burn 10% ethanol in our cars, despite seeing proof that it doesn't reduce hydrocarbon in our air, & costs more money than it saves.

...Where does the electricity to power electric cars come from?...Silly question, I thought everyone knew where it comes from...

...The electricity is manufactured by Elves from fairy dust, in the land of rainbows and Unicorns, geez, I thought all grown men knew that...

Anyone remember locking gas caps? How long before you need locking outlet covers to keep people from getting "free" electric?

Electricity to power electric cars comes from batteries!

And food comes from the store. But, if they want to get technical, I bet they will tell you it comes from a food truck which brings it to the store.

Chief, I don't disagree with the concept of your statement, but you have to stop blaming this on demographics. There are idiots in every single state of this country, and it's proven daily.

Mentally, we are going in the wrong direction. I swear if someone put an article together announcing the world is flat, half of these idiots would believe it.

Maybe long enough to get t the field. Duetz attempted to field equipment using air cooled diesels. We own one and while it has performed well enough, there's far more upkeep than one would expect. A full hour every day to blow the dust and trash away from the cooling fins and other parts. Although there's no liquid cooling system to maintain, the various parts of the air cooling system are actually more difficult.

The 'air heads' who believe electric vehicles are a zero maintenance alternative are mislead. That only lasts a short time before all the intricate little widgets begin to fail. After how many years, I can't even keep a flashlight working for any length of time--how long is something as complicated as an electric vehicle going to meet any long term usability?

Fuel taxes help pay for roads. What happens when everybody goes electric? Former Republican Governor of Virginia, Bob McDonald tried to get EV owners to pay their fair share of road taxes. The Greenies cried bloody murder until he gave up.

I've ranted about this "stuff".......wind turbines, solar farms, EV's, ethanol......for decades. Even posted some in the political forum.

First.....we would NOT be seeing ANY of the Green Agenda items if it were not for.......MONEY.....Rebate MONEY.....i.e.....our TAX dollars paying for much of it.

Second......for the life of me, I've never understood why anyone in their right mind would actually want to consume MORE(BTU wise) of Earth's natural resources to "create" a LESS(much less BTU wise) form of energy.......to "replace" the original energy resource. Replacing gasoline(a refined oil resource) with electricity(a manufactured end product).......AND claiming an energy SAVINGS is.............sheer madness!!

As I've previously said.....once again.....one CANNOT violate The First Law Of Thermodynamics.....and get away with it.  Never has happened......NEVER will happen!!!

But....I will admit that when MONEY(especially TAX money) is involved........many "people"(aka politicians) will claim most anything is possible.

    Just my $0.02......again.....sigh........:(

Yep, many a farmer gleefully harnessed up his team to go pull a a Model T from the mud. Those contraptions were the devil's invention....

It’s also conveniently forgotten that lithium batteries wear out faster, are more dangerous, and hurt the environment worse far worse than a gasoline engine

How far does a Prius go before a recharge? Will there be Recharging stations every 50 miles on the interstate? Will we run the batteries down waiting in line to recharge?

That one reason that gas is getting higher is to try to force the use of EV's? Hmmmmmm
