Serf, lets say you live in a neighborhood that utilizes one of their networks. You come home one day to find your front door smashed in and all of your worldly possessions are gone. Your guns, your gold filled safe, heck - even your baseball card collection. If the Talon system provided the police with evidence to catch the bad guys and return your possessions, would that be a good thing? Or would you stand on principle and protest the use of the information and just write off the damage and theft?

It would be hard to name anything that can't be misused and this system is no exception. I just got back from running errands and am probably on several videos taken from the bank and stores I visited. On top of that, I used a credit card so my purchases can be tracked. Didn't have my cell phone, but did drive my OnStar equipped vehicle so if anyone was interested I could be tracked. I am currently on a website that is probably monitored by several govt agencies and now you want me to panic about a system that can read my license plate. Sorry, I just can't work up enough enthusiasm to care about Talon. Bob

There is no expectation of privacy in a public setting, that is settled law. That is why a citizen or police can use cameras anywhere in public even if the property has no cameras allowed signs inside the property. If you are on public land you can video anything you can see. Freedom is a double edged sword. If you do not want to be videoed stay in your house, otherwise you may be on a camera. Act accordingly and it will never be an issue, act like a jerk and it may bite you.

That used to be cheaper than the ammo but it may be the other way around right now.

When you get forced socialism with taxation in a cashless society then you will understand that there is a perfect trap laid for all of us. Thanks to science & technology of the all seeing eye.
