I have multiple friends that have over 300, so I'd say 500.....

I don't think I have "a lot", so a lot more than that. Bob

If on the witness stand I was asked.. How many firearms do you own and I had to reply.. I would say.. Then the attorney would say .. would you consider that .. a lot. I would respond you have a lot of nerve asking me, there are No limits of how many one can possess. ... well at least here there are not.

    In your opinion?

It would depend on the someone . I know some who are responsible owners with well over 100 and it does not seem they have too many. On the other hand there are owners who have described their negligent discharges and other careless actions with their firearms and the thought of that person possessing even one single firearm would seems far too many.

I don’t own “a lot” of guns, but I do own a lot of ammunition.

Their answer depends on that person's background & political out look.

It would depend on the type of gun you were talking about for me to actually put a definition to the term "a lot." If you are talking about SAA Colts.....20 is a lot. Hunting rifles, 50 is a lot. Vintage lever guns....30 is a lot. Modern lever guns.....100 is a lot. If you want me to put a number down as "a lot" of guns without any details and it was a mixed collection.....500 is a lot.

It is funny how folks interpret . One might get accused of having " a lot " of anything... Property, firearms, cars, boats, homes... and my thought.... Keep your nose in your own business and not in anyone elses....

    Would that include Machine Guns?

How many fishing poles or golf clubs is considered enough or to many to have? There is no answer, or number that pops up in this question. Firearms are legal to own and possess, there for if there is a point to this question, I would have to say, it is your god given right to decide for your self how many to possess, as long as their legal to own.

I truly couldn't sit here and give you an actual number. Does that mean I have a lot? What if I answered with a question asking how many pairs of socks do you have? As if it really mattered, or was anyone's business.

If my insurance agent asked me, I wouldn't want to say. He has and I didn't.

If you have one gun of every different centerfire cartridge and caliber made since 1890, it might be deemed "a lot".

Thank goodness in my accident I was actually able to hold on to a rod and snag a softcase and birdgun, on the way down. The gun came out all right after a good oiling but the case still has a funny smell.

Same goes for a "bunch", "handful", hands come in many sizes, and "bate", as in I just at a bate of ramps and branch lettuce.

Some would say I have a lot of firearms and others would say that is not a lot of firearms.🤔
