I have a 4 year old Pavilion and somehow my touch pad has become active. How do I turn it off?

  Well I'm not a computer geek at all, but I have an Acer laptop, and holding the "function" key and pressing F7 turns the touch pad off.

  Google "how to turn off touchpad on HP Pavilion" there are multiple ways depending upon OS version.
