Jiff Natural smooth, I don't care for crunchy (I'll eat it if it's all we have). Smuckers for preserves, jams & Jellies although Welches is OK also.

As always in threads like this, "best" really only means "I like." We all have differing tastes.

I like Skiffy Pan best. In other words, all of them. Smooth or crunchy. I know that the major brands have emulsifiers and added sugar, but I don't care. I have in the past tried a couple of "all natural" brands only to learn that the oil in them separates and floats to the top. You can never get it mixed back in evenly and by the time you get near the bottom of the jar the stuff that remains seems to have sand in it, it is so gritty.

Americans eat more peanut butter than all the rest of the world combined. In many countries, it is unheard of, even where peanuts are grown and eaten.

Can't remember the last time I bought a jar of peanut butter or a jar of jelly.

It is funny. My wife and I were talking about peanut butter last night. Almost 24 years ago when she moved to this country and we got married she ate her first peanut butter. I thought she was going to gag! πŸ˜‚

Now a day without peanut butter doesn't exist. She loves it and I love teasing her about how much she loves it compared to 24 years ago. 😁

My taste buds can't seem to do much differentiating between brands but I agree with Rocky, the all naturel/organic brands aren't very good when you first open the jar and even worse half way through the jar. But that's OK. My dogs love that dried up nasty peanut butter. We must not forget my dogs also love cat poop so perhaps they aren't the best judges of peanut butter! 🀣

When the "natural" kinds first came out I tried the skippy and yes it did separate and was kinda gross, once stirred up it was ok but yeah oil separating was a problem, that doesn't happen with the Jiff natural creamy, it even says on the label "no stir needed"😁

I have an old jar of Skippy smooth that I'd bet is at least 10 years old. I keep it in a basement cupboard and use for baiting mouse traps. It should last at least another 10 as it is not even half gone yet. No longer what I would call smooth! More like chunky muck, but it still hasn't turned black, green, or gray yet and believe it or not.....still smells like peanut butter! 😲

There is a grocery store in a town over from us that makes it daily. I'm not a bid PB fan but will eat this on a cracker, real great flavor and texture.

I like the peanut butter brand that is "ON SALE", I really prefer Black or Red Raspberry jams over any jelly.

Ever since I was a kid, whenever I would get the hiccups, I ate a spoonful of peanut butter. Tonight I had the hiccups and ate a spoonful of Jif's extra crunchy. And as usual, the hiccups went away very quickly. As a bonus, IT TASTED GREAT. 😁

My preference is and had been for years Peter Pan crunchy .( We have beat 45 vs 9 mm to death ) .The pb& j thread made me do this ! Best grape jelly is Welch's since I can no longer get my aunts homemade grape apple jelly. Your thought ?

"We have beat 45 vs 9 mm to death"

What about cast iron pans or chainsaws or cornbread ???
