Brownells Acraglass gel Brown dye substitute
I'm out of the Brown dye for the gunstock glass.
I can find Brown at Brownells site but shipping is about same price as the 5 packets.
Anyone tried any kind of a sub dye with good results.

I have used shoemakers brown dye which is a alcohol base I believe on a saw dust and superglue mix when it dries. Might inter fear with chemical reaction if mixed with Acraglass. Might work if you coat Acraglass after it dries.---------------Ray

In Brownell's Gunkinks I - used fine sawdust and it colored well. In Gunkinks II - used walnut oil stain with no deterioration of hardening over the years. B. Brownell did not disagree with this. Some experimentation may be in order. Good luck.

I have mixed brown leather dye into quick set epoxy and had good results.
