I got a couple in today and here is the first one. Also have a rifle with .30/30,.223, and .22 match barrels.

Not the most useful handgun I ever shot, but dang they are fun. I've even managed to break a few targets on a skeet field with one. Keeping your eye aligned with the rib while swinging on a fast crossing target is a challenge and I found myself concentrating more on the gun than the target which is the opposite of what you should do. Now I just have a Super 14 with 223 and 357max barrels. I've come to realize I am a lot better at stationary targets.😀 Bob

I think Smith and Wesson bought out Thompson. I have a few and am anxious to see how this one runs.

They were a great company. Loved the Hawken.

Have you had to ‘shim’ the firing pin block, to eliminate light strikes on the primers re the .357 Max. Fortunately there is a fellow just down the road who carries all parts for the TC.

Nope, no problems thus far. I haven't shot that barrel in 10 years, so I should probably stick it on the gun and take it to the range one of these days. Can't have the ammo getting stale.😀 I do have copious quantities of 223, so that barrel gets used when I feel the need to take out my Contender.
Thanks for the link. It may prove handy in the future. Bob

Bellm and I used to have some serious correspondence when I was writing Contender articles. He always seemed to be one hop ahead of debt collectors or something as he moved from state to state. We had kind of a falling out after I tested a wildcat he designed and ruined a barrel. He said it was my fault. I said I was using loads he recommended. It ended there.
I'm going to sell my remaining Contender frame and barrels when Locust Fork swings through Utah this Spring. I truly loved shooting them, but those years are past.

How many magazines does it come with? 😱😵

Pretty sure it comes with "clips".
I have a contender and a 357 max barrel.
Light strike on hand loads.
Called Thompson, been a while, discussed the issue.
Reply, do you have extension on hammer? yes. they said that was usually the issue.
They said send it to them and they would fix it. Never did so I don't know if that was the issue or not.

Rocky, it’s his son I’m referring to ,,,,,,, his father is in Utah. I’ve not had any negative dealings with son.
