Welcome new moderators Mike Wiskey, jimdeere, and Ruger4me
GBHQ cut their orders late last night, so this is their official introduction.
@MIKE WISKEY is one of the most senior members of our forum. In fact, I've said that GB must have built the forum around him. Congrats, Mike
@jimdeere hardly needs an introduction. He is one of the most popular members of our forum...or he was prior to his becoming a moderator! Congrats, Jim.
@Ruger4me has six years in the forums. He is our most junior moderator, but he brings a lot of enthusiasm to the job. Congrats, Ruger (I know your real name, but I haven't seen you use it in the forum).
Gentlemen, here are your GB New Moderator ban hammers:
These 3 new moderators, along with @Brookwood, who was appointed last month, are a major part of @montanajoe and my plan to have a smaller and more dynamic moderating staff composed of members who were active in the forums and remain so as moderators.
This is the current moderator list:
For those who insist that @montanajoe and I are determined to make everyone a moderator, these 8 mods are roughly half the number of moderators in the old forum.
The old forum is officially in the past. Now, lets give a warm welcome to Mike, Jim, and Ruger.

Congratulations, and @MIKE WISKEY is one of those new guys.

Dang, it's gonna be a lot harder to sneak stuff by all these Moldy Raters.

Congrats (and condolences ?) to these guys! :) Question: are they all going to be GD mods or are some slated to handle the other forums? Or has that split largely gone aside?

Thanks @mark christian as for "(I know your real name, but I haven't seen you use it in the forum)." It's not a secret, but for those that don't know it, My name is Bret S. and I will answer to either. I like the new hammer, but I may need a pair of these attached to it for awhile:
😂 seriously glad to be on the team!

The old forum policy of assigning specific moderators to specific forums and with moderating power only in that specific forum has never existed here (*). All of our moderators are "Global" and can moderate anywhere.
(*) When I was a moderator in the old forum, as soon as I left ATE (where I was assigned) my moderating controls vanished. When I returned to ATE the controls were restored.

Congrats and God bless gentlemen.

Thanks for that explanation. Makes sense.

Congrats to the new gang of moderators! I think they deserve some kudos for stepping up and I think the high mucky-mucks made some good choices. I will promise to be on my best behavior for as long as possible, but no promises for how long that will be.😁 Bob

In order to keep the interior cool and in good shape, @montanajoe and I prefer it kept out of the direct sun:
Before GB was sold, new moderators were treated to a champagne reception followed by surf and turf.
That was before.
Now you guys can split a six-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon and a bag of chips- if I can stretch the forum budget to allow for it!

I promise to strike a blow🔨for civility and harmony 🎶.

Congratulations to the three of you.-----------------Ray

Is there a bribe hierarchy or is it alphabetical? Also, I will need a list of cost per type and level of infraction for said bribes. Does longevity on forum lessen the size of the infraction cost?
😆
Congratulations fellers. GB chose well.
