Neat Old cars back when cars had there own personalities
I think it was 53 or 54 Ford I was standing in the front seat of between mom and dad this was late 1958
We were hit head on my face and the windshield met and I lost the contest
I was told it took three more cars and drivers to get me to the hospital
1st car stopped running
2nd car driver got to nervous and scared looking at how bad I was and had to pull over
3rd guy got us ,mom dad and I to the hospital
Dad got banged up a little mom had several stitches in her knee
I had right at 100 stitches in my face and head . doc sewed my nose back in place for starters
Mom told me they just started sewing me back together no numbing and I looked like frankenstines monster . Too bad No one took any photos
When mom passed on I did find a article about the wreck she had saved a copy of the police report Happend on 25a in Tennessee
I still have scars but evey doc since then always commented what a great job the old fellow who sewed me up did I do have trouble breathing thru my nose some but all considered I came out ot better than I would have guessed

Those flatheads with dual glasspacks had a sound of their own.

There was a neighbor who owned a farm when I was growing up that had that era Ford in a station wagon model. It was mint green color and the front bumper\grill is something that I'll never forget. I worked a few summers for him picking strawberries and asparagus and actually got driven home in that car.

I owned a '50 and a '52. The '52 had "Fordomatic"!

My dad had a 1950 Ford pick up.I remember the plaque in the glove box stating that the flathead 6 had 60 HP and the flathead 8 had 85 HP.

As a kid I had the '52 Customline with the 239 flathead. Completely rebuilt the engine, new everything inside. Scavenger headers and 3 Stromberg carbs. Enough room for 8 teenagers and 3 cases of beer...
