Can't Identify This Gun
I ran across this firearm the other day and can't identify it. It has virtually no markings other than a proof mark on the stock. 4 TU which I think is Beretta? Can anyone help me with details about this rifle?

That should say 4 UT, not 4 TU in my original post 😉

The weapon is a Berretta Model 38/42, a simplified version of the Model 38A. The 4UT stamp is found on a large number of WWII era Beretta firearm's and indicates that the weapon was intended for delivery to the German military.
Thanks for getting my day off to a good start with a solid gun question!

With 2 triggers, I'm guessing that one is semi & the other full auto ??

The front trigger is for single shots while the rear trigger is for full auto. It is hard to tell from the photograph, but the two triggers have a slightly different profile: the rear trigger is much more curved. This makes it easy for the shooter to know which trigger his finger is on.
