They're so far advanced in this stuff today It's nothing like it used to be. They can really do wonders with a heart now. I know that won't keep you from worrying though. God be with your wife and you and the rest of your family. I Hope she has a fast recovery.

I had 5 bypasses back in 2015. The biggest issue I had was sneezing before the sternum healed up. It's very important that she keep her heart pillow with her at all times and use it while riding in a car, sneezing, coughing, or any activity that will stress the healing of the sternum. When you bring her home they will probably tell her to sit in the back seat just in case the airbag gets deployed.

She will get paid back for all the times she waited on you, while you attend to her needs. If everything is done gently and in moderation, she should be back to normal quicker than you think.

If you have any questions, I would be happy to try to help.

Peace to your family and skill and wisdom for the medical team.

And spoil her rotten between now and then and maybe a little less after.

    I'll bet she's earned it!
