The middle child...has a project that is WAY over her head, but she's happy.
She is the proud owner of a real piece of junk RV...and couldn't be happier. Its running great, trans is fine, tires are good....has one tail light and the front seats are ok, but the rest is pure crap and needs to be gutted and redone. She's been wanting one of these for as long as I can remember. I saw where someone was selling this as a hunting cabin for cheap and let her know about it.....next thing I knew I was taking her to drive it to our house. I am so happy for her and terrified all at the same time.

I would have loved to have that vehicle when I was her age. I had to settle for a '69 Chevrolet telephone company van.

My niece bought one just like that a year ago. She and her boyfriend have been fixing it up for a year, and they are going to "take a cross country trip." Takes a long time to fix up that old RV.

The two of you can use it to pick up guns and save money on a motel...and spend the savings on gas.

That one is similar to our first RV. It was on a Dodge chassis and got an astounding 12 MPG. Ours needed some love that took much money and weeks of work before I felt it was safe enough to take on a trip. They have basically everything a house has, but the life span is much less due to the stresses of traveling.
On the plus side, they are a lot of fun and you don't have to worry about what happened in the bed last night, because you know.
I hope she has a lot of fun with it.

Looks great on the outside. If she got it cheap like you say, then sounds like a good deal to me. Hopefully in a couple years when she gets it all fixed up, we will have new "leadership" and she will actually be able to FILL the tank(s) 😁

Sort of....she works in an antique mall near where she lives, but has a booth in another area. She still does the "pop up" thing...which is really just a yard sale with a hipster name. She talked about gutting this thing and making it a rolling store. I told her that was a terrible idea. It should be used for fun, but she can take it to her pop up thing to have a shady spot and bathroom...plus, go on adventures if she fixes it up to be the RV it is meant to be.
I think the sales thing is not going to take off like she imagines....she isn't a very "self motivated" person and you really have to push yourself to be successful at that sort of thing.

Local guy here uses one to set up along with a canopy at various locations as a traveling used gun store. You see a lot of that with general yard sale type stuff along the roadways in eastern Kentucky.
