Acts of kindness and selfgiving will have great rewards, now and later.

On the light side, be kind to your wife, waitresses, and cooks.

THEY KNOW WHAT GOES IN YOUR FOOD.

People are still more important than things. But I do have to say that we are in a sorry state where the foster system isn't encouraging placement with families that can defend the child from attack. In any case, this is the right move. Glad you can help them out like this. Sounds like a wonderful family you have there. Kudos!

You raised a good son ( and he married good ) even though he cares nothing about hunting.

You've got a great family that has its priorities straight. It sounds like if anyone can help that disadvantaged 13 year old, they can. They have Judy's and my best wishes and admiration for being foster parents. Oh, and yeah you must have done a little something right in raising your son as well. Good job. Bob.

I've inspected many homes for foster care & adoption. Since secured firearms are not a hazard, I never had reason to comment on the subject in my report.

Appreciate the great things your son and DIL are doing and completely agree with prioritizing the young lady's long-term welfare. I wonder though why the two have to be mutually exclusive. Perhaps it's not organizational policy and the local representative just has a personal bias against firearms...even if properly secured? Not criticizing your family in any way, just mentioning (as you know based on your description) that we must remain vigilant and ever hesitant to voluntarily cede our right to possess firearms.
