Missie attacks make Russian Tanks & Ships vulnerable?

I think the world stood up and took notice when the funky little Argentine air force sunk the HMS Sheffield during the Falklands war.

Stand-off missiles make surface ships vulnerable, whether from land or air. Even with radar controlled fast firing guns, a ship needs air superiority in the area it is operating.

"In a Thursday morning interview Pentagon spokesman John Kirby weighed in, telling CNN that the Moskva is still afloat but was badly damage. He did not offer confirmation of the Ukrainian version of events, but only said "there was an explosion".

I wouldn't put any stock in anything CNN publishes.

We used to provide gunfire support up to and even slightly north of the DMZ but with heavy "aircap". I believe those days are long gone.

I need some help, it has been so long since the last time I logged on that I have forgotten how to do so.
