Frozen Naners.
I have started throwing a few bananas in the freezer. I have been leaving the peels on, but I suppose you could peel them first and wrap them in foil. I cut one in 2" sections and peel them and man are they good. Like banana ice cream without all the bad crap.

Dipped in chocolate would be tempting for me but then the added calories would defeat the healthy purpose.

Mom used to give us those all the time in the summer. Peel them first before they go in the freezer. If you like, stick a popsicle stick through them too. Works great.
We tried coating them in chocolate every way we could think of, but it never sticks. At the first bite, everything shatters and makes a mess.

They also make a great base for making a smoothie.

I normally like my banana's just a bit on the firm\green side. When they get too ripe my wife will either make banana bread or add them to a batch of Jello. I have tossed a few over the years and instead will try the freezer method.
Thanks Ricci for the idea!

@Brookwood my wife is same as you she likes them on the green side, if they go too long she just throws the whole thing in the freezer and later uses them in her banana bread.

When you get really old or sick tell your Dr during your checkup's that you have quit buying green banana's.
(afraid of dieing before they get ripe and that is just wasted money that the Dr. could be getting)
