The fuel shortage and subsequent double digit inflation in America today is the result of piss poor management by the sitting POTUS along with the people who voted for him.

Anyone see gas guzzlers getting sold off cheap like back in the '70s yet? Still looking for reasonably priced 2014 or newer Chevy SS (the 4 door sleeper). What was about $25K hitting like $50K+ is just silly (more than when they were new). I also kind a like the Cadillac wagon CTS-V but not the price.

What would be the equivalent these days of the 454/440s of the 70s?

Just another method to create a "Lock Down" and keeping workers from going to work.

Don't worry! The Government will take care of you. 😬

They don't make many v-8's anymore for inexpensive buyers. You can get a turbo charged v-6 maybe but it won't be cheap and thank the EPA and the new green deal for all the reasons why.

But here is one left for you https://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/models/gt-premium-fastback/

While not a fan of government regs, they have stimulated progress in the auto industry. My GMC Acadia has the naturally aspirated, (no turbo), 3.8 liter V6. Rated at 310 horsepower and gets around 23 mpg locally and 29mpg hwy. Back in the 70s that was unheard of. To get that much HP would have taken a bigger V8 with about half the mpg. Progress can be a good thing despite what some worry about. Bob

When all the suburbanites are spending 25-30% of their excessively inflated income just for commuting, things are going to get WAY tougher.

back in the 70's during the gas shortage our government was producing gas ration coupons but they never issued them maybe they can dust them off and pass them out to get more votes

just like the 6 billion dollar wipe clean college tuition forgiveness old creepy joe just did

another freebe to gain votes they know there boat is sinking ( and I hope they all go down with it ) doing all the gifting to keep the voting base

With all the money our democrat led gov't is printing and sending out to Ukraine, I have been expecting to see a bill in congress to give the Ukrainians USA voting privileges.
