Maggie Peterson, well-known for starring as Charlene Darling in The Andy Griffith Show, passed away on May 15, 2022. Maggie Peterson’s cause of death was not released but her family said she died peacefully in her sleep.

  She was one of my favorite recurring characters on the show. Charlene, Briscoe and the boys cranked out some pretty good music. Of course there were some songs they didn't play because it always made Charlene cry. Bob

  She was a nice looking gal back then. I was never a fan of the show, I am not sure why but I just don't like Andy Griffith.

  I suspect Ernest T. Bass has some kin folks in the White House, maybe a brother, Brandon for one.
