I just bought two motorcycles
A 1975 250 Elsinore and a 1966 Honda s65. They've been sitting in a building for 20 years but they turn over and look straight. I'll show them off when I get them fixed up and running. They'll look like these:

Yep the red badge is on The honda is a 65 CC but a Honda 90cc now that was the one everybody wanted and the honda 50cc was the least wanted! Those were the good old days for me! Nice post !

That Honda is a "Dream." Great little bike. My first bike was a used Honda 175 Scrambler.

Good score there Jim!! My first bike was a 50cc Bridgestone. It was a full sized bike with a minibike sized engine. It was pretty cool for a 12 year old however!

I had a Honda "S" 90, I think it was called a Super 90 because of the fancy metal fenders and a more streamlined body. I put a straight pipe on it that ran up along the side and had a "snuff or not" butterfly baffle in it. Twist the baffle open and that thing would howl!

I have two older Hondas, a 1980 400T and a 1996 250 Rebel, both are bullet proof and run like the day they were built.
Just can't kill a Honda.

I owned a '65 Honda CB 160 Baby Hawk and later a '66 Honda CB-77 305 Super Hawk after the guy that run over me and my 160 in his '55 Chevy insurance paid off.

First thing I did to the 305 was get rid of those stock mufflers and put a set of megaphones on it. Sounded more like a 305 Scrambler with straight pipes and and then got rid of the ugly gray front fender and put a chrome one on it.
Hard to believe one month later June and I were married. I had a '64 Mercury Comet and this Super Hawk. We put a million miles on it together and luckily I never put a scratch on June or the motorcycle during that time.

They didn't make megaphones for the 160 so I had to settle for a set of sport pipes. This was the first day or week that I got the 160 because it still had the drive-out tag on it.

Having had an Elsinore I can say for what they are they are one bad biatch machine. I jumped a ditch and landed front wheel first then I said, THAT HURT, and sold it.

Well, I'm 75 and I probably shouldn't ride either but I'm going to live and ride right down to the day they throw dirt in my face.
I also ride a dirt bike but that one really hurts these old bones, I don't jump it any more for sure.

My first road bike was a 1967 305 superhawk. I miss that old ride .

I bought our oldest son a little Honda MR-50 Elsinore when he was about 5 years old in the early 70s. I wanted him to have a motorcycle that had a clutch and gears to learn on instead of an automatic. The little Elsinore had a clutch and 3 gears.

I had a '62 Cushman Super Husky that was a 12 hp with electric start and also a side crank from 12 to 14 years of age. It's the one on the right in the photo. My buddy had an Allstate and I can't remember what model it was on the left of the photo.
The Cushman was a big step down from the '57 Harley K Model that I used to get to ride that belonged to my Mom. I had a pretty bad crash and well that sort of ended my riding days on a Harley until I got older.
I had a bunch of Harley's over the years. I had a Harley Heritage last and I sold it when I decided it was time to quit pressing my luck with June riding with me. About 54 years without hitting the pavement with her riding behind me was very very lucky and was going to end badly someday I could feel it. I would never have gotten over it had I killed her. I was right I wouldn't have. The cancer took her and I can't even deal with that and I could only imagine what I would have gone though had I been the cause of her death. I doubt I'd be having this conversation now that's' for sure.
I talked to my oldest son today in Knoxville on his birthday and I'm going to get me another Harley when I sell this place in GA and get back home to Knoxville. I miss riding a lot. It gets in your blood. Maybe it'll get me out of this funk or send me to where I belong.
