Just throw money at the problem

That's the usual way, instead actually fix the problem.

$20K per to study? Maybe I should start a nonprofit. Sure beats working.

Here in Illinois a "study" of any sort is at least a million. They did one recently and found that "the overall condition of the roads in Illinois were fair to poor." I could have told them that for 50k.

I don't even live there and would have told them that for $10,000

Grasshopper, I left scenic Peoria in 1958 and never went back except to visit family. I must say that IL is #1 when it comes to sitting governors that have been sent to prison.

And the one in there now makes them all look like pikers. Corruption abounds at all levels. Someday I will be from here I hope.

How do I temporarily get classified as a problem? I do have my old baseball glove around here somewhere and would gladly find it to catch any money thrown my way. Bob

I have been "from Illinois" for over eight years....I still go back to visit family and friends. I still miss a few folks, some great fishing and hunting spots but little else. I don't miss the Chicago mentality, the taxes, lousy roads, bad schools, corrupt unions and inept government...I wish I knew the answers and outcome for Illinois...
I hope you get the opportunity to "be from" Illinois soon !!!

Well yeah, but I'm related to most of those folks and they ain't got much money. I kinda was hoping old Joe would throw me some of the tax dollars of all the well to do GBGD members. On second thought, Joe would take a cut so you all could just mail me a few bucks and cut out the middleman. 😁 Bob

The main thing that the Commission in Roanoke will not mention is the racial makeup of most violators. They simply say the name or area of the neighborhood. Then leave it up to people listening to fill in the blank. We're 45 min away & both shootings here were by people from Roanoke. It's not a gun issue, it's a morality issue. Whew, was I politically correct enough?

Sure is asop. I had my first pizza at Agitucci's back in 1956. Mom & dad never had pizza at home but when my best buds & I turned 16 they took me. I've known 3 generations of Agatucci now. Dan, Jerry's son, is behind the bar now. I would go to Peoria from Indy 3-4 times a year to visit family and my main squeeze. Later the girl & my family were gone but I would stop there once a year on my way to Sturgis. I haven't been back since 2019 but hope to go this summer. Are you from Peoria?
Fond memories.

Here in California you can get a list of names and addresses of gun owners. Was that only for the "educational" establishments? Anyways that $20K will add up quick.

I've been to Illinois a couple of times and somebody didn't study those roads very well to come up with the word "fair" to be part of the description.

cbx-Went to Bradley. Still have many friends down there. Duck hunted in the Chillicothe area for 40 years! Fun times in Peoria. Other restaurants: Chilli Villa, Busy Bee, Si Maroons (bar), Franks Highway Tap (bar) and the list goes on. Have a good week end.
