Five of the coolest Corvettes that never made it to production
Since its introduction, the Corvette has been the object of the dreams of stylists and engineers. Numerous seemingly viable concepts have been pitched yet never produced. Here are five of our favorite Corvettes that never made the leap onto the showroom floor: 1977 Aerovette– The mid-engine, gullwing Aerovette was so ahead of its time that […]prototype vehicles are rare and expensive should you locate one

I saw a 1953(I think) Oldsmobile that looked exactly like a 53 Corvette except it was V-8 powered. From what I understand GM had not decided if the Corvette was going to be a Chevrolet or Oldsmobile.

I have owned a first generation C1 1961 as my first Corvette. Living at home at 18 Dad said to sell it too much insurance.. it was wrecked..hit a deer and I repaired it... sold it... Then I have owned C2 Corvettes ,,,1963, 1964,,1965's... C3 Corvettes 1970,1971, 1973, 1974, 1975... C4 Corvette current 1996 Grand Sport.. NO C5, C6, C7 Corvettes ever owned... But I own a C8 Mid Engine... Lost count how many Corvettes I have owned thru the yrs.

Nice to see the old cars
If I could pick one older one now
A 67 427 or a 69 zl1
Looking back as a young fellow I could have bought a early to mid 60,s vette for dirt cheap compared to prices now
but at the time around here anyway my bb camaro easly out ran them. I am sure faster ones were around just never encountered them in our small town of course going around curves may have been a bit of downfall for my camaro but straight line red light to red-light was king

Few years back sold my 80. Red, 4-speed, smoked T-- tops with 32,000 orig. miles on it. Still had the original tires on it! Sellers remorse I guess, I wish I still had it😕

First vette I rode in was a 67 convertible with a 427 . The only one I owned was a 70 convertible.

1st one I rode in I was about 25 yrs old or so
a buddy had just bought a mid 60's i really don't remember the year
but it was modified a lot, as in straight front axle gasser would be the best description It was fast and had that early drag race look I would like to have it now as just a attention getter
So not really a true corvette in many ways

Some people drive old cars because they like to.
I drive old vec's because I have to.
My vec's have the dimmer switch on the floorboard, crank the windows up/down/, full size spare tire, no safety warnings on the dash, no air bag except when wife is on board, had to add seat belts, no cat converter for thieves, manual hubs on my 4x4, has a carb that does not like corn squeezings. Brandon does not like my vec. Says he will give me $7k if I will buy one of his EV's. I smell a rat when he makes me an offer.
Now they want me to get a battery operated vec. I'm thinking maybe someone will come out with a conversion kit that has solar panel and windmill for my vec's because fossil fuel is being banned but Brandon want more oil pumped?????????????
I'm confused again. (listening to Brandon and the news)
