    If it'll fit, it'll probably work. I know many small engines use the same carburetor.

    Im sure the rust was the only issue with yours. The old coils seem to last forever.

    I would imagine any of the cheap coils will work, find one with the same frame if that one ever quits.

    PS, might wanna find an new small engine mechanic😁

    I think labor rates at lawn mower shops are about $100.an hour now.It doesn't take much to be wrong with a piece of equipment for it to cost more than it's worth to be repaired.Plus some of this newer homeowner quality stuff is very bad.

    What is the model number on that rig?

    If that is a riding weedeater lawn mower what is the model of the engine also?

    On some models your fly wheel diameter will determine if the coil will fit or not. As you call them the "arms" may have a different angled end to them where it meets against the magnet.
