web links in your discussion posts
Hi guys, something to try (it works for me, might not work for you with your browser or access interface).
When you copy and paste a link in your post (like to an auction listing) if you hit a carriage return after you paste the link, the link will embed a preview and the reader won't have to click through the hoop, which is the warning that you're leaving gunbroker, when they click it to read or see all of what is at the link.
This link has a carriage return after it:

what's a carriage return on my computer?
Hitting 'Enter' just moves the cursor to the next line down.
If I use the 'insert media' box below, it will post as direct link, not just the link address.

On my Kindle Fire tablet, that uses a version of Android, the preview is automatically done with no extra effort on my part. On my desktop with Windows 10 it only works part of the time when I hit the enter key. Both are running Google but different versions. So if I show a link that takes you to the leaving gun broker page, you know I am not sitting in my comfortable old Lazy-Boy. 😁 Bob
