Wow! Someone did not age well. Went to see the new movie last night, it actually was pretty good. cheesy but decent. I dnot think I have seen the original in its entirety just parts here and there. it was just too top 40 for me back in the day.

She looks happy in both pics....some people aren't living their lives trying to be "attractive" to every stranger walking the planet. Those of us who are smokin' hot have a real burden to bear that others might not realize is a lot to deal with at times.

I well remember going to the original Top Gun and loving the movie. Even back then I was unimpressed with Kelly McGillis. In my opinion she was OK but I certainly didn't rate her as a "hottie!" Thankfully we are all attracted to different looks/types. It would be a sad world if we all wanted the same look/type of woman. Can you imagine the competition for that 1% of women each of us thought was hot??

You guys aught to be glad you are and wasn't a hot stud like myself since my teens. It becomes unbearable at time but it was the curse I was given and have lived with it to this day.🧐

I thought she was "just fine" in Top Gun. Big girl, just my size. Also liked her in Witness. Harrison Ford chasing her around in that hayloft.

Interesting that no one has commented that Mavrick ain't no spring chicken either. She has had an interesting and challenging life and made a place for herself where she is comfortable at last. If looks were all that mattered, not many of us would score many points.

Most of the then and now photos I see of pretty women is they were pretty young women now they are pretty old women but this proves there are exceptions to that rule.

She didn't fair any better. I reckon if Andrew Dice Clay was still around he'd say he'd fork him (meaning tom cruse) since he's the only one who's still pretty.
