Google Jimmy Driftwood. I remember him using one back in the 60"s. He was a folk singer locally popular in Arkansas - instrumental (No pun intended) in establishing the annual Ozark Folk Festival which eventually became the Ozark Folk Center State Park near Mountain View, AR. Great place to visit for mountain music and crafts, as well as gorgeous scenery, great fishing, canoe floats, etc.
